Spiral House Park:
Today is the perfect day to join an exclusive event that will take you on an adventure into a sense of wonder at the unique Spiral House Park. Four decades of artistic creativity has transformed an abandoned bluestone quarry into a place of magical beauty with the five story Spiral House as the centerpiece.
Surrounded by geometric, flowing sculptures, woodland trails, and bedrock geology, this artistic piece of architecture literally grows out of the land creating a deep connection to the surrounding Catskill Mountain landscape.
The perfect curvature of the house gives off a different perspective from every view so wherever you stand, there is both movement and stillness.

The amazing creativity doesn’t stop here, swirling, winding garden pathways invite wandering from sunny to shade aside bluestone walls and quiet nooks perfect for reflection.
Hop onto a woodland trail with interconnecting loops through the peacefulness of the forest and past amazing geology.

Charming Saugerties:
But first we start the day in quaint downtown Saugerties with time to wander through its small town charm, browse independent shops, and find a tasty bite for lunch.
Pricing & Departures:
Departs South Plainfield High School at the end of Lane Ave at 7:45 AM and returns at approximately 7:00 PM
Departs Morris Plains Community Center, 51 Jim Fear Dr. at 8:15 AM and returns at approximately 6:15 PM
Departs Ridgewood Graydon Pool at the corner of Linwood Ave & Northern Parkway at 9:00 AM and returns approximately 5:30 PM
Cars may be parked at all locations at your own risk.
No reservations accepted without a payment of $170 per person. Make checks payable to “Educated Wanderer” and mail to the above address. A full refund will be granted if canceled prior August 1, 2026. No refund will be granted on a cancellation that occurs after August 1, 2026. Educated Wanderer is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, injuries or circumstances beyond its control and reserves the right to change this itinerary.
