Tuckerton Seaport:
It’s the perfect summer day to smell some salty fresh air and delve into the history, culture, and folklife traditions of Barnegat Bay and the surrounding Pinelands.
At the Tuckerton Seaport, a recreated maritime village set alongside the Tuckerton Creek, the Jersey Shore’s maritime traditions of past and present will be brought to life on our guided tour.
Floating Classroom:
We’ll hop aboard the Floating Classroom for a fun and informative trek down the Tuckerton Creek where we’ll discover the Jersey Shore’s unique maritime heritage along with the interaction between culture and nature on the Barnegat Bay.
There are also historic buildings and interpretive exhibits to explore that reveal the interdependence of environment, history and traditions.
Nature Trail & Lighthouse:
Take time for a leisurely stroll along the scenic boardwalk or along the path of the short nature trail both perfect for bird watching and climb to the top of the short lighthouse for lovely panoramic views and gentle breezes.
Local Lunch:
Lunch will be included at a fun, local spot as part of our fun summer day nearby the bay.
Pricing & Departures:
Departs Ridgewood Graydon Pool at the corner of Linwood Ave & Northern Parkway at 7:30 AM and returns at approximately 6:30 PM
Departs Morris Plains Community Center, 51 Jim Fear Dr. at 8:15 AM and returns at approximately 5:45 PM
Departs South Plainfield High School at the end of Lane Ave at 9:00 AM and returns approximately 5:00 PM
Cars may be parked at all locations at your own risk
No reservations accepted without a payment of $195 per person. Make checks payable to “Group Tours & Travel” and mail to the above address. A full refund will be granted if canceled prior July 1, 2025. No refund will be granted on a cancellation that occurs after July 1, 2025. Group Tours is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, injuries or circumstances beyond its control and reserves the right to change this itinerary. All trip components are subject to change in accordance with Government, State, and Local guidelines and/or mandates. This tour will run rain or shine.
