The Cloisters:

Step inside the art, architecture, and gardens of medieval Europe at The Cloisters Museum and Gardens that rises from the towering cliffs of Fort Tryon Park.
Designed with elements from five medieval cloisters and monastic sites located in Southern France, you’re sure to be amazed.
Explore!:

On a guided tour, we’ll explore artistic artifacts from intimate works of private devotion to the splendor of the Unicorn Tapestries dating from the ninth to sixteenth century housed in this City Landmark designed as a French Romanesque Abbey.
You’ll be transported to Europe among the monastic architectural elements of stone and stained-glass guiding your way past exquisite, illuminated manuscripts, ivories, and tapestries.
It’s the perfect way to visit Europe without a plane ticket! Don’t miss the rare panorama across the Hudson River to the Palisades.
Fort Tryon Park:

Find some lunch right here at the Trie Café or wander to one of the many restaurants in the area.
Take some time to explore lovely Fort Tryon Park, a gift from John D. Rockefeller Jr., designed by the eminent landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead Jr. with its neo Gothic walls, structures, and battlements overlooking the Hudson River.
