Overview:
The holiday season is approaching, so let’s bring our feelings of joy and excitement to a place where temperate coastal breezes sweep through the festive streets. Tucked into winding, historic streets framed by centuries old moss draped live oak trees lies the Lowcountry gem, Beaufort South Carolina. With its cozy cafes and quaint shops, the overall atmosphere of this town permeates every corner with the spirit of the season.
We’ll follow the Lowcountry magic to artistic designer decorated homes, past sparkling lights among a romantic garden, inside festively decorated historic antebellum mansions, and along the glittery streets of downtown Beaufort. We’ll seek out the quiet seaside setting and slow pace of St. Helena Island finding history and serene settings along the way.
The Lowcountry is a charming and transformational place, so don’t miss out! Step into the warm atmosphere, breathe in the salt air, then breathe out, transformed.
Day One:
This holiday itinerary is not detailed as of yet, due to the possibility of adding new, fun, and exciting events that have not been posted yet at this early date and then putting it all together into something that works!
Day One: Christmas Market at Plant Riverside
After arriving at Savannah Airport, downtown is close by so let’s step into the holiday spirit at the Christmas Market at Plant Riverside.
Take your time to browse the European style outdoor holiday market filled with goodies and take a moment to see the Festival of Trees that sparkle with holiday charm.
Beaufort Inn:
Our home for the next four nights will be in the relaxing and tranquil Beaufort Inn.
Day Two: St. Helena Island
Today we’ll explore the lovely St. Helena Island that showcases the rich fabric of rural Lowcountry life of both past and present.
The spirit of the Gullah Geechee people runs deep in this area and can be felt throughout every corner and in it’s delicious cuisine which we’ll have for lunch!
Lady's Island:
Let’s island hop over to Lady’s Island, once home to majestic indigo plantations and wander through history.
Day Three: Homes for the Holidays
Today we will be wowed by the Homes for the Holidays Tour!
Port Royal Boardwalk:
Perhaps then we’ll take a stroll along the scenic Port Royal Boardwalk for some splendid views.
Day Four: Downtown Beaufort
Let’s take some time to explore charming downtown Beaufort!
Aiken Rhett House:
Let’s head towards Charleston for a historic holiday home tour!
Magnolia Plantation:
Tonight, more wow’s await among the sparkling lights at Magnolia Plantation.
Day Five: Breakfast & Flight Home
Time to make our way back to the airport for our quick flight north to our home in New Jersey.
Pricing & Departures:
This will be a Special, Intimate Small Group tour with a max of 9.
Air transportation is provided by United Airlines. A surcharge will apply if United Airlines increases the price of its airfare. One piece of luggage per person (baggage fee by United is not included) and one small carry-on are permitted. A valid, government-issued picture ID is required to board the plane.
Thursday, November 21: Flight #3572 departs Newark at 10:50 AM and arrives in Savannah at 1:24 PM
Monday, November 25: Flight #3552 departs Savannah at 2:15 PM and arrives in Newark at 4:30 PM
Price per person is $2,795 Twin & $3,395 Single. No reservations accepted without a deposit of $350 per person. Make checks payable to “Group Tours & Travel” and mail to our address above. Final payment is due September 1, 2024. There are no refunds if cancellation occurs after September 1, 2024. Travel protection/cancellation coverage is available and highly recommended, but not included. Group Tours is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, injuries or circumstances beyond its control and reserves the right to change the itinerary. All trip components are subject to change in accordance with Government, State and Local guidelines and/or mandates. This tour will run rain or shine.

- Our philosophy of travel involves getting out of the ordinary to experience other cultures and places with an open minded attitude and flexibility. Since as in daily life, anything can and will happen, let’s embrace these situations with acceptance and understanding because they will either lead to an unexpected, amazing experience or positive learning experience.
- If anyone brings along excess baggage such as incessant complaining, under the breath rude comments, outward negativity or other such behaviors that infect the entire group or individuals, we have the exclusive right to remove them from the tour at their own cost with no refunds. (yes, this means you)
- If any major concerns arise during a tour, please just come talk to us and we’ll work it out!
