Itinerary: Subject to change due to local conditions, unforeseen events, or more interesting as yet unplanned awesome experiences that become available
Overview:

Deep in the heart of the Atlantic lie the volcanic islands of the Azores, shaped by nature through millennia of eruptions and earthquakes that artistically created unspoiled landscapes each with its own unique, special features.
Our wanders will lead us to four of the islands starting with Pico, known as “the black island” for its dark volcanic landscapes that contrast lush tropical greenery. From here we’ll day trip across the seas to “the blue island” Faial whose vivid blue hydrangeas bloom across the land straight to the azure sea and to the dramatic rugged cliffs of “the brown island” Sao Jorge resembling a dragon emerging from the ocean’s depths. We end in the lush vibrant landscapes of Sao Miguel, “the green island” among rolling green hills, green volcanic lakes, and endless fields of greenery.
Our exploration among these mythical magical lands will take us through diverse flora and fauna, deep lava caves and steamy volcanic landscapes, to cascading waterfalls within lush botanical paradises of nature parks and gardens.
Mesmerizing panorama awaits along scenic drives and walking paths that lead to sapphire blue and emerald green lakes among vast expanses of wild untamed nature and to coastal clifftops with crashing seas forming beautiful natural rock pools of azure blue. We’ll soak up Azorean laid back vibes in authentic traditional towns and villages and unwind into the tranquil atmosphere.
Overview:

With a location in the middle of the Atlantic, the Azores maintain a temperate subtropical climate, but one that is quite subject to sudden change.
It’s well known here to be able to experience four seasons in one day. Wind, rain, fog, sun, a pop-up storm all can happen at any moment and does!
Our travels here will be one of buoyancy, as if floating on a drifting cloud, we’ll let the wind (and weather!) guide our way to whatever catches our eye and grabs our attention, filling our days with unexpected surprises at every bend.
We’ll move to the beat and rhythm of island’s vibes because all this ever changing, crazy weather leads to perfect rainbows.
Day One: Overnight Flight

Get comfortable and a few winks of sleep on our overnight flight, we’ll awaken among the beauty of a new Azores day!
Day Two: Museo do Vinho

After arriving in Sao Miguel, we’ll catch our second wind and second quicker flight to the small island of Pico, but don’t worry, we’ll be back!
Our Pico adventure begins among an expansive mosaic of black stone where a cheerful red bridge leads to Museu do Vinho.
Here are all things wine and where we’ll uncover centuries of winemaking tradition leading to the production of unique island wines cultured by the volcanic soil and ocean breeze.

Ponta dos Capelinhos:

At the westernmost point of the island lies a surreal landscape, one left by a colossal volcanic explosion that feels as if you’ve been transported to the moon or to Mars.
Partially buring the lighthouse, now turned museum, the layers of swirled hardened lava have only left the tower.
