Highlands Mansion & Gardens:
It’s a lovely summer day to step out in the sunshine and immerse in nature’s flowery garden vistas.
Our visit at The Highlands Mansion & Gardens will blend historic charm with natural beauty as we explore the late 18th century Gregorian mansion and its 2-acre formal garden.
A guided tour will reveal the stories of the three intriguing families who called Highlands Mansion their home and how the mansion has evolved with each generation.
After, stroll the delightful gardens surrounded by massive stone walls and see what blooms await to surprise you.
Lunch:
An included lunch will be next right here at the mansion, so sit back and enjoy.
Meadowbrook Farm:
Another glorious garden awaits! Stroll your way into the tranquility of Meadowbrook Farm where a brilliant tapestry of greenery, colorful flowers, and calming waters wait to greet you.
Notice unique plants from around the world with eclectic textures as they dance before your eyes in the soft breeze.
Step into the stone wall garden adorned with whimsical statuesque trees where you can relax and unwind as you hear distant birdsong and perhaps even frogs.
This is a place of silence and solitude, so enjoy every moment.
Pricing & Departures:
Departs Ridgewood Graydon Pool South Lot – across Linwood Ave at 7:30 AM and returns at approximately 7:00 PM
Departs Morris Plains Community Center, 51 Jim Fear Dr. at 8:15 AM and returns at approximately 6:15 PM
Departs South Plainfield High School at the end of Lane Ave at 9:00 AM and returns approximately 5:30 PM
Cars may be parked at all locations at your own risk.
No reservations accepted without a payment of $195 per person. Make checks payable to “Group Tours & Travel” and mail to the above address. A full refund will be granted if canceled prior June 10, 2026. No refund will be granted on a cancellation that occurs after June 10, 2026. Group Tours is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, injuries or circumstances beyond its control and reserves the right to change this itinerary.
