Mills Mansion:
The Mills Mansion is an elegant, Gilded Age country home grandly set among the picturesque banks of the Hudson River, so let’s take a step inside!
Our tour will inform us on all the history held within these luxurious walls from 1832 when the 25 room Greek Revival home was first built to its expansion in 1895 when it became the 65 room Beaux Arts mansion with 14 bathrooms that we’ll see today.
Immerse in the lap of luxury as we’re guided through room after room furnished with elaborately carved and gilded furniture, fine oriental rugs, silk fabrics, and a vast collection of interesting art objects from Europe, ancient Greece, and the Far East.
Kingston Village:
Once we’re back to reality, take a wander through the artistic community of Kingston and browse the shop lined streets for a tasty lunch on your own.
Hudson River Cruise:
Now sit back and relax on the deck of the Rip van Winkle II and enjoy a scenic cruise down the Hudson.
We’ll do some leaf peeping as we pass some unique and fascinating sights along the riverfront. Keep an eye out for lighthouses, scenic bridges, and magnificent mansions including the Mills Mansion.

Pricing & Departures:
Departs South Plainfield High School at the end of Lane Ave at 7:30 AM and returns at approximately 7:15 PM
Departs Morris Plains Community Center, 51 Jim Fear Dr. at 8:15 AM and returns at approximately 6:45 PM
Departs Ridgewood Graydon Pool at the corner of Linwood Ave & Northern Parkway at 9:00 AM and returns approximately 6:00 PM
Cars may be parked at all locations at your own risk.
No reservations accepted without a payment of $175 per person. Make checks payable to “Group Tours & Travel” and mail to the above address. A full refund will be granted if canceled prior September 5, 2025. No refund will be granted on a cancellation that occurs after September 5, 2025. Group Tours is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, injuries or circumstances beyond its control and reserves the right to change this itinerary.
