Our day begins at Brookfield Place, formally the World Financial Center, a height of luxury shopping, dining and cultural arts all housed underneath an impressive, enormous glass roof that serves as a greenhouse for 16 palm trees. From here it’s a close walk to a number of amazing places
The Oculus, 911 Memorial & Eataly:
Step into the most expensive train stop in the world, a whopping four billion dollars, The Oculus, provides an experience that is like walking into a Star Trek movie. Located right across from the 911 Memorial, The Oculus which is architecturally built to resemble a bird being released from a child’s hand, brings inspiration of love and hope. The shopping mall here offers hundreds of stores and plenty of eating options including Eataly NYC Downtown.
Battery City Park, Hudson Eats & Irish Hunger Memorial:
Also close is Battery Park City Esplanade, a beautiful promenade along the Hudson River, the upscale dining terrace of Hudson Eats, and the Irish Hunger Memorial. You’ll have free time to wander and explore and find lunch on your own.
Yacht Cruise Around Manhattan:
Now we climb aboard the 1920s inspired yacht Manhattan II for our fabulous cruise! Once on board, this three-hour-long cruise will fully circumnavigate the island of Manhattan. Hosted & narrated by a member of the American Institute of Architects, our cruise provides extraordinary insight into the iconic buildings that we view on along our route.
