Woodlawn Cemetery Trolley Tour:

Let’s explore the Woodlawn Cemetery, an oasis among an urban setting. As soon as you step foot into Woodlawn’s park-like setting filled with flora, fauna and local wildlife you’ll instantly forget you are surrounded by The Bronx. Not only is Woodlawn peaceful and beautiful, but it’s also recognized as one of America’s most historically significant properties, is a National Historic Landmark, and “a popular final resting place for the famous and powerful”. Established by a group of prominent New Yorkers, Woodlawn has been propelled by location, clientele, and unprecedented wealth to the outdoor showplace of distinctive masterworks that we will see today.
Our trolley tour will wind us through the greenery taking us past the resident greatest hits such as author Herman Melville, Frank Winfield Woolworth, and George M. Cohan, past the Titanic memorial, and through the Jazz Cemetery where Duke Ellington and Miles Davis now reside. We’ll be wowed by the hidden architectural treasures built by a list of architects that reads like a who’s who of the era’s most prestigious firms, along with many significant, stunning sculptures
Bronx Little Italy:

After our tour, a special treat awaits just in time for lunch, often referred to as “the real Little Italy of NY”. Generations of Italian families have given this area of the Bronx a unique small-town character where their old traditions permeate the neighborhood like the sweet smell of sausage and peppers.
Such a great place to walk around, find lunch on your own and browse the vast array of markets, pasta & pastry shops, and Italian goods.
Wave Hill Garden:

Next, we visit a hidden garden perched high atop the majestic Hudson River. Wave Hill Garden offers sweeping views and a serene setting to take a stroll among nature in the middle of the Bronx! A perfect way to connect with nature and walk off that delicious Italian lunch!
