Snug Harbor Walking Tour:

There’s no need to get on a long flight to Asia when there’s exotic art, culture and artifacts right around the corner in Staten Island!
Our first stop, the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Gardens. Once a 19th century rest home for sailors, Snug Harbor is now a place where history, architecture, gardens, agriculture, art, and education come together in a dynamic experience.
Our historical, guided tour will delve into our nation’s rich architectural legacy including rare, landmarked structures and interiors.
Chinese Scholar Garden:

After, enjoy our included lunch at the Harbor Eats Café and spend some time wandering the lovely grounds before our step into what feels like a garden straight out of the Ming Dynasty.
The New York Chinese Scholar Garden featuring magnificent rocks resembling mountains that inspired the poetry and paintings of Buddhist and Taoist monks will delight your senses and your soul.
Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art:

The Himalayan Mountains await! Our next adventure will be at the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art, a uniquely peaceful retreat.
Walk among the fieldstone buildings resembling a Tibetan mountain monastery, through the Samadhi Garden featuring a fish pond, meditation space, and plantings native to the Himalayas to the unique artifacts reflecting the art, history and culture of this exotic locale.
Sri Lankan Museum:

We hope to also visit The Sri Lankan Art & Cultural Museum where we’ll be captured by the beauty of sculptures, paintings, gemstones, and artifacts of this exotic land.
