Looking for a unique summer getaway? Join us on our Pop Up Summertime Fun Van Adventure to The Roxbury! The Catskills not only brings fresh mountain breezes, flowing rivers, and every shade of green imaginable for the eyes t see, but also gives us the fabulous, one-of-a-kind Roxbury Motel. You haven’t experienced The Catskills until you’ve spent a night here! The funky, hip vibe surrounding you here is not only FUN but will instantly reconnect you with your sense of wonder. There is no better place to unwind, relax, and refresh than in a Roxbury room that feels like you stepped into a dream.
Created and designed by Greg and Joe, expats from Broadway, each room theme is inspired by films and TV shows from the 60s and 70s and brings with it a magical and whimsical experience to our stay in The Catskills. First registrations get first pick of their unique room! Enjoy The Roxbury at Stratton Falls outdoor heated pool open along with your choice of included spa activity, and for our walking pleasure, an easy, walkable trail system that leads to their beautiful 50-foot waterfall.
While here in the heart of the Catskills, let’s explore the area! You’ll step into a remarkable earthwork sculpture, cruise the Hudson River to a lighthouse, wander the streets of charming villages, savor delicious local food, and gaze in awe at a cascading beauty! So grab a change of clothes and let’s get going!
Day One: Opus 40
As we make our way north through the green picturesque mountain scenery of The Catskills, we’ll stop to explore the amazing artistic spectacle Opus 40 Sculpture Park.
Pioneering artist Henry Flite hand sculpted this magnificent work of art over nearly four decades from the native bluestone in a creative fusion of ancient Mayan and Aztec stonework and local quarrying. He creatively integrated his stonework sculpture with the natural surroundings of forest, grasslands and mountains making these natural wonders a part of his art.
We will spend the morning taking in all this creative artistic and natural atmosphere, wandering and exploring as much as you like or just finding a comfy spot to sit and enjoy.
Hip Woodstock Lunch:
Now onto a place that serves as a symbol for peace, love, art and community, the small town of Woodstock, tucked away at. the foot of the Catskill Mountains.
Take your time to stroll the charming streets, pop into artsy shops and find lunch on your own. The best thing about Woodstock, is that it’s home to Bread Alone where you’ll find the most delicious grilled cheese ever made on the planet!
The Amazing Roxbury!:
Time to take your much-awaited first step into your fabulous, themed room experience!
The night will be yours to spend as you please with an included dinner in town at the wonderful Chappie’s.
Day Two: The Roxbury at Stratton Falls
How lucky we will be this morning when we wake up in the magnificent surroundings of our spectacular themed room! There’s no better way to start the day than finding a cozy nook to enjoy a relaxing, leisurely coffee and breakfast within the amazing space and grounds of the motel.
The sister property to our home at the Roxbury Motel is our next stop where we will learn the stories and see photographs of the origins of The Roxbury’s Mansion. Not only is this place utterly and brilliantly magnificent, but also has a very interesting past. Just when you think this place can’t be any more spectacular, we’ll be cast under the spell of the glistening cascade of Stratton Falls and its millennia old rock formations on our short walk along the picturesque nature trail.
Local Lunch:
A delightful, included local lunch awaits us with a few afternoon surprises! Then back to The Roxbury for one more night of amazing!
Tonight we’ll enjoy and included Italian dinner together at Mama Maria’s!
Day Three: Kaleidoshow
As we leave Roxbury, there is still another fabulous, fantastic sight to see. Surprisingly, right nearby is the World’s Largest Kaleidoscope!
Standing 60 feet tall, the silo from Riseley Flats Farm was transformed into this fantastic feat and it’s here where we’ll be enchanted by a unique Kaliedoshow, a fascinating visual and sound experience.
Downtown Kingston Lunch:
Onto the artistic community of Kingston for time to wander the shop lined streets and find a great place for lunch on your own.
Roundout Lighthouse Tour:
Only accessible by boat, lies the 1915 brick Roundout Lighthouse marking the entrance to the Roundout Creek in the Hudson River.
Today we’ll take a boat ride and tour of the lighthouse learning it’s history and enjoying splendid views. Such a great ending to a sparking Catskills getaway.

Due to the last minute pop up nature of this tour, we are unable to offer any cancelation. Travel protection/cancellation coverage is available and highly recommended (approximately 10% of the total cost of the tour) but not included. One piece of luggage per person and one carry-on are permitted. Group Tours is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, injuries or circumstances beyond its control and reserves the right to change this itinerary.
