Merchants House:

Let’s step back in time to the 1820s when the elite Bond Street neighborhood of New York City attracted the city’s wealthiest and most influential citizens including Seabury Tredwell who built his late-Federal and Greek revival home here.
The Old Merchant’s House, complete with the family’s original furnishings, household items, and personal possessions including their clothing, is the only 19th century family home in New York City preserved intact from inside to out.
Secret Garden:

Our visit here will provide an intimate glimpse into the daily life of wealthy families who lived in the area and their Irish servants who fled famine and hardship in Ireland for a better life abroad.
Keep an eye out for the secret garden and for any strange, inexplicable happenings, as it is rumored that some of the Tredwell’s have never left.
Essex Market:

Off to lunch on your own at the historic Essex Market, now filled with a variety of food vendors.
Museum at Eldridge Street:

Built in 1887, the historic Eldridge Street Synagogue is an architectural marvel that now houses the Museum at Eldridge Street. This magnificent structure is the first grand synagogue built by Eastern European Jewish immigrants in the United States and was nearly lost to neglect.
Our tour here will take us into the past when the synagogue was the cultural hotspot in the bustling Jewish Lower East Side to its decades of decay, and onto its miraculous rebirth as a 21st century museum in present day Chinatown.
