Magic Gardens:
Bring some magic to your May at a secret spot in Philadelphia that glitters and glistens with creativity and artistic fun. Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens is an immersive mixed media art environment that is completely covered in mosaics.
Creator, Isaiah Zagar, constructed this sparkling indoor and outdoor space equivalent to half a city block out of handmade tiles, bottles, bicycle wheels, mirrors, and ceramic shards as he’s done since the late 60s to various places around the South Street area.
Take your time wandering the tiled passages that weave around the outdoor sculpture labyrinth and in the two fully mosaicked indoor gallery spaces. Channel your inner mosaic for a special take home surprise!
South Street:
We’ll then take a stroll down Philly’s famous South Street where you’ll find ethnically diverse restaurants with anything imaginable along with a wonderfully eclectic lineup of independent shops.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch on your own with time to browse or just relax.
*there is an approximate 15 minute walk, about 0.5 miles from the Magic Gardens to South Street restaurants.
Italian Market:
Just a short walk away is one of the oldest and largest open-air markets in America, so let’s make our way. Dozens of vendors line the streets selling the freshest vegetables, fish meats, spices and produce at Philadelphia’s Italian Market.
Wander through the butcher shops and bakeries where you’ll marvel at the amazing array of products on display and the experience of it all.

Pricing & Departures:
Departs from Ridgewood’s Graydon Pool parking lot (corner of Linwood Avenue & Northern Parkway) at 7:45 AM and returns at approximately 6:30 PM
Departs from Morris Plains Community Center, 51 Jim Fear Drive at 8:30 AM and returns at approximately 5:45 PM
Departs from South Plainfield High School at the end of Lane Ave at 9:15 AM and returns at approximately 5:00 PM
Cars may be parked at all locations at your own risk
No reservations accepted without a payment of $145 per person. Make checks payable to “Group Tours & Travel” and mail to the above address. A full refund will be granted if canceled prior April 11, 2023. No refund will be granted on a cancellation that occurs after April 11, 2023. Group Tours is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, injuries or circumstances beyond its control and reserves the right to change this itinerary.
