Beyond King Tut:
Today we join in the discovery of a story 3,300 years in the making. Step into Beyond King Tut, an immersive experience of nine distinct multi-sensory galleries that will take you on a journey to one of the greatest archeological discoveries of all time.
Be transported to modern day Egypt where you’ll see the wonders of the ancient world including the Temple at Karnak and the Great Sphinx. Experience ancient history come to life and gaze at the Egyptian sun as it rises above the Pyramids of Giza, filling the sky with vivid color.
Then travel back in time 3000 years to the 18th dynasty when King Tut ruled and gods like Ra and Anubis were worshiped by all. Descend into King Tut’s tomb, 100 years since its historic discovery, see ancient treasures come to life and join him in his quest for immortality.
This experience includes a Virtual Reality portion “Tutankhamun: Enter the Tomb” where you’ll enter a recreation of his burial chamber and walk through the story of his life, death, and discovery.
Now we step out of Egypt and straight into holiday season in NYC where we’ll make our way to two festive sensations, see one or both or just grab a nice, leisurely lunch on your own.
Grand Central Terminal’s Holiday Fair is a cozy, warm spot among the stunning beaux-arts Vanderbilt Hall featuring unique local artisans and small businesses from New York and the U.S.
Stay toasty inside for lunch at the Grand Central Market downstairs with more local businesses to explore.
Right across the street you will find the Winter Village at Bryant Park out in the fresh outdoors with a European inspired open air market featuring artisans from around the world.
Check out the Lodge Bar and Food Hall from which you can watch the ice skaters or join in their fun or maybe try your hand at curling!
