Overview:
It will be a picture-perfect holiday in the small, alpine inspired village of Helen; a town filled with the charm of Bavaria in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Only a short flight away, we’ll be transported to an enchanting place that feels like you’re in the middle of the Alps. With its cobblestone streets, quaint shops, cafes and hotels, Helen is the perfect backdrop for a fun-filled holiday adventure.
There are so many ways to celebrate this festive time of year in this magical place and we’ll enjoy them all. Find that one of a kind gift at the holiday markets, visit a house decked out in Victorian holiday cheer, watch glowing floats in a fun festive parade, sit back and relax on a horse drawn carriage ride, and just soak up the scenery of the fairy tale village surrounding us. There is also more to explore in the area, so don’t miss out on this alpine adventure!
Day One: Itinerary in Progress

Day Two: Horse Drawn Carriage Ride
Today we clip clop through town by way of horse and carriage, so sit back and relax and enjoy the scenic ride. Then spend your afternoon wandering on your own along the cobblestone streets to take in the enchantment of the village and find a tasty German inspired lunch to raise a pint to.
Day Two: Hardman Farm Victorian Xmas
This evening brings a mansion all decked out for the holidays in its Victorian charm at the nearby Hardman Farm. There will be twinkling candle lights, live music and people dressed in their finest 1870s garb. As you wander, you will learn about Victorian Christmas traditions and will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite decorated community Christmas tree.
Day Three: Christkindlmarkt
In the middle of Marktplatz today and tomorrow will be Helen’s traditional Christkindlmarkt, rooted in German culture since the Protestant Reformation. Take the afternoon to browse the unique gifts and decorations and don’t miss out on the German specialties, sweet and savory foods, drinks and candied treats.
Day Three: Christmas in the Mountains
This evening we travel to the small town of Cleveland to participate in kicking off the season with their annual community event full of festive fun and fantasy. During the Christmas in the Mountains Celebration explore the vendors on the downtown square, watch the tree lighting then be dazzled by the lighted parade to top off the night.

Pricing & Departures:
Air transportation is provided by United Airlines. A surcharge will apply if United Airlines increases the price of its airfare. One piece of luggage per person (baggage fee by United is not included) and one small carry-on are permitted. A valid, government-issued picture ID is required to board the plane.
