Day One: PA State Capitol
And we’re off! This morning we travel west to the capital city of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After an included lunch, we tour an architectural treasure, the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building. As one of the most ornate state houses in the country, prepare to be amazed by its magnificence.
Day One: Staunton, Virginia
A beautiful drive awaits! Our scenic drive through the Shenandoah Valley offers picturesque views of farmlands and the Blue Ridge and Massanutten Mountains, and leads us to charming Staunton, Virginia, a town steeped in history.

This morning we will bring the past to life as we explore Staunton’s Frontier Culture Museum. As we wander through the 17th and 18th century farms, we will see first-hand how our distinctive American folk culture was derived from a blending of European, African and indigenous peoples. Our exploration will take us through the story of how the thousands of people who migrated to colonial American created a life here for themselves and their descendants.
Day Two: Osceda Mill Lunch
Now onto our included lunch in an historic old mill where we can sit back and relax and enjoy the scenery. From here it’s another scenic drive to our home for the next three evenings.

There are plenty of cafes and cute restaurants to choose from to have lunch on your own.
