A Cup of the Valley Coffee & Tea Festival

One Day Tour ~ Sunday, April 11, 2021
Are you a coffee junkie or tea fanatic? Well this is the tour for you! The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park is hosting its Cup of the Valley Coffee & Tea Festival where we can stretch out that first sip of coffee or tea into an all-day affair. There’s an opportunity to taste a variety of imported coffees and teas as well as local concoctions from right here in the Hudson Valley. Special exhibitions throughout the day such as brewing and roasting techniques, espresso creations and presentations along with special ceremonies including a Japanese Tea and Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony will also be offered. Curious minds can be enchanted by tasseography, more commonly known as tea leaf readings by Ms. Jade. There will also be a special appearance by author Sarah Alden Combs, who will be signing books and answering questions about her latest work “Theater Ghost”. There will be time to browse the festival at your leisure and grab a snack, as we’ll have a later lunch today. After we’re all hyped up on caffeine, we’ll have tons of energy for walking (or running!) around the picturesque, idyllic village of Cold Spring. The Main Street is filled with antique shops, specialty stores, boutiques, art galleries and more coffee shops! Take your time to wander and browse, relax in the beauty of Dockside Park, and find a place for a late lunch while enjoying the Hudson River atmosphere.
Departs from The Chatham Middle School at 480 Main Street, Chatham at 7:30 AM and returns at approximately 6:15 PM.
Departs The Frelinghuysen Middle School at 10 Jane Way, Morristown at 8:00 AM and returns at approximately 5:45 PM.
Departs Ridgewood’s Graydon Pool parking lot (corner of Linwood Avenue & Northern Parkway) at 8:45 AM and returns at approximately 5:00 PM.
Cars may be parked at both locations at your own risk.
No reservations accepted without a payment of $135 per person. Make checks payable to “Group Tours & Travel” and mail to the above address. A full refund will be granted if canceled prior March 1, 2021. No refund will be granted on a cancellation that occurs after March 1, 2021. Group Tours is not responsible for any delays, cancellations, injuries or circumstances beyond its control and reserves the right to change this itinerary. All trip components are subject to change in accordance with Government, State, and Local guidelines and/or mandates. This tour will run rain or shine.
